I installed Granite Falls game pack around two weeks and tried playing it last night. I have the items that come with the pack and can visit the world. The issue is that when visiting the world there are no lots that I can rent or play with. I figured I could just build my own but then realized that I can't because there are not lots to build on. The Sims Plus aka Arnie Sims, the modder behind the Brookheights Open World Mod for The Sims 4, has released their much-anticipated World Edit Mod.

Currently only available for Patreon supporters through early access, the World Edit mod offers players a set of tools to create and customize worlds in The Sims 4.

While this is not quite like the version of The Sims 3's Create A World (that's just not possible with this edition of The Sims), the mod unlocks a lot of features to help players build the world of their dreams.

Simmers can shape the world as they wish, choosing from objects like trees, oceans, roads, and interactive venues to create a semi-open world on a giant 750×750 blank canvas.

Public access will follow later in the week and is fully base game compatible. However, the more DLC a player owns, the better the experience of using the mod will be as noted by Arnie Sims in the release notes:

The more packs you have, the better the experience will be and the more items you

will get. Some open lots/interactive venues might not be available for you if you don't

How to use The Sims 4 World Edit Mod

The mod follows a manual installation process, with full instructions provided by the creator in the download file. Once installed, players can access the world by visiting the ‘replacement' Newcrest world from the home screen.

Epic games purchase v bucks. Those who are familiar with TwistedMexi's T.O.O.L mod will have a slightly easier time getting to grips with the functionality of The Sims 4 World Edit Mod. Players must use an active Sim to build and edit the world.

Out of the box, some of the mod's functions can be a bit tricky to come to grips with. Keep in mind that early versions of such complicated mods will almost always have a few bugs. And, considering the complexity of this mod, that there is a learning curve is hardly surprising.

Creating roads can be tricky at first as they rely on road points as shown above. But there are plenty of ‘preset' options to choose from with a simple click of a button. All of the items used by the mod are already part of The Sims 4 game.

These include things like oceans, forests, parks and several interactive venues like university buildings, graveyards and campsites. Roblox games without signing in. Players can also add additional world effects and objects and even share their worlds with others.
